“I wonder how soon a child can become possessed by interdimensional beings. Opie appears to have some moral qualms about the lies the town is telling Brian.  I was on the edge of my seat wondering if Opie would tell Brian that he really isn’t Barney.  So are kids not possessed until they are teenagers because sacrificing children who are possessed by interdimensional beings is counterproductive? I just wish someone had more CONTROL over Opie in this situation.”  - LaToya from Montgomery, AL

“Were some of the Bobby Fleet band members also in I Love Lucy? I noticed that in the restaurant scene, many of them were calling on the Santeria deity Babalu-Aye to inflict people with disease and then quickly heal them.” - Michael from Hollywood

“This episode has always irked me because I don’t agree with Jim Lindsey having to become a Thule society member in order to join the band. The idea of only allowing people with Aryan blood into a secret society has always made me confused, but then again, maybe the producers might have been illustrating that Mayberry was a little backwards. Some words of enlightenment: ‘It’s not white blood that makes the difference, it’s blood that shares genetic material with alien kings who once ruled on Earth—no matter what race of alien.’” - Allen from Detroit
