Thomas the Tank Engine Revelation 9

7The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. – Revelation 9

Today I saw the blood-streaked Volkswagen Beetle from Rosemary’s Baby rolling around the Bakerloo line again, said Thomas with his wheels all a wobble.  He wanted Gordon to work harder so he could have time to go and see for himself, but Gordon wouldn’t stand for such silliness.

Charles Manson the farmer scraped their sides with his shovel and said, Sir Paul’s their driver. He’s a locust with a key to the abyss, and nothing’s more important than that.

Thomas thought this sounded very serious indeed.  Being the hardest working train, he had to investigate.

That night Thomas complained about the cold and convinced the fat controller to fill him with coal in exchange for some fresh kippers he had stowed away.  At last, he was free, but he moved one track at a time past Charles Manson the farmer’s house, San Quentin, or as he lectured them to call it:  Clapham Junction Saint Fifth World to Oblivion.  People were always going in and out of there and Charles Manson the farmer explained it to Thomas in this way:

I have nothing to do with the altar.  An Aryan woman had to be exchanged for Rosemary’s Baby.  It was just a case of the world taking its turn.

Oh, dear, whistled Thomas when he heard this, feeling as if he had no fire within him at all.
