ESSAYS

ARIEL LEWITON (From Conversations with Bros in the Sauna) lives in Iowa City. Her writing has recently appeared in VICE.com and The Paris Review Daily. Until further notice, you can find her in the sauna.

SAM ADLER-BELL (“Some Writing About Writing About David Foster Wallace…”) just graduated from Brown University. His latest work—a family of dinosaurs made out of pipe-cleaners—earned rave reviews from Mila, the three year old he babysits. He lives and worries about the future in Providence, RI.

BIANCA GIAEVER (“The Scared is Scared”) is writing this biography from a tent in Israel's Negev Desert. She has been traveling in this area since she graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont three weeks ago with a degree in Narrative Studies. To her great surprise, the short film project she took on a couple weeks before graduation has become an internet sensation. It has been featured on blogs and news sources such as Buzzfeed, Jezebel, The Atlantic, Yahoo! News, and the Huffington Post, and was recently screened at the TED Active conference. Before making films Bianca primarily produced radio stories, and her films continue to draw upon the non-fiction audio that she collects.
