Aphorisms for Tuesdays

Only a tongueless shoe talks back

to Time. A shadow is only

the hoarfrost of a shape. A blinking

cursor gathers no dross. Once

written, twice lost.

A noun is only a knothole

in the vast wall of attainment.

The softer the train whistle,

the heavier the hobo sack. Epiphanies

return all gifts. Even grifters

leave white pebbles

over the graves of their mothers.
