TSF: It’s all about intention.

CF: In the beginning I thought ‘People just aren’t responsible enough to use the word slut,’ and I still don’t think they are. But people aren’t responsible enough to do a lot of things that they’re still doing. Like, most people aren’t responsible enough to have babies and drive cars, but they’re still doing that. So everyone’s just going to do what they do anyway. And I think the environment we’re in right now with comedy, where everyone is so fucking offended by everything, is really ruining the industry. I think that’s come forward as the more important issue. So I’ll just say anything, and that includes saying things like the n-word — which I even hate that we’re saying ‘the n-word’ — but Louis C.K. has a bit where he’s like, ‘We say all of the words or we say none of the words.’

TSF: It’s like people choose which words they’re going to get really offended about and other words are fine.

KH: Yeah, I get annoyed when people get offended by anything, because you can spend a better use of your time channeling your anger towards something much more productive, more political. Not be offended because I said the word slut. Go fuck yourself.

CF: The problem is we live in a society where people think the act of getting angry is actually doing something, when, in reality, it’s completely passive.
