NATE BROWN (Exceprt from The American Book of the Dead) is a graduate of the MFA program at the University of Wisconsin and has received fellowships from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, the Vermont Studio Center, the Kimmel, Harding, Nelson Center for the Arts, and multiple scholarships to the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. He lives in Iowa City.
